1. SONIC WALL RELEASED PATCH FOR DAY ZERO VULNERABILITY.
Firewall vendor SonicWall confirmed this week the exploitation of a zero-day vulnerability in the SMA 100 series. The vulnerability (CVE-2021-20016) already has a patch that updates and repairs affected products.
2. "AGENT TESLA" MALWARE UPDATES DISABLE ENDPOINT PROTECTION.
Sophos researchers indicated that the Remote Access Trojan (RAT) has been updated to include new evasion techniques, using encrypted Telegram channels or TOR-based clients to communicate with Command & Control servers, as well as techniques to disable the protection at level end point.
3. LINUX MALWARE "KOBALOS" THREATENS SUPERCOMPUTERS GLOBALLY.
ESET specialists discovered Kobalos, a malware targeting high-performance computing clusters and supercomputers. Kobalos works as a back door and seeks to steal SSH (Secure Shell or Secure Socket Shell) credentials.
