A hacker took control of a computer system of the water treatment facility at Oldsmar city in Florida and changed chemical levels of lye (Sodium hydroxide) in a potentially dangerous level. A supervisor working remotely saw the concentration being changed on his computer screen and immediately reverted it.

Google has patched a zero-day vulnerability in the Chrome desktop web browser that it says was actively being exploited this week. The company released version 88.0.4324.150 for Windows, Mac, and Linux (CVE-2021-21148).
CHINESE APT GROUP IMPLEMENTS SOPHISTICATED SHELLCODE
The Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) group BlackTech implemented a new shellcode calling BendyBear to download malware from the Command and Control server. Palo Alto researchers described the malware as highly sophisticated that includes anti-scan capabilities.
