China was accused of being responsible for the blackout that occurred in the city of Mumbai, India, last October. A New York Times report claims that the action was the product of a campaign by Chinese hackers in the context of a border confrontation in the Ladakh area.

The New York Times report is based on a report by the American cybersecurity firm "Recorded Future" targeting the RedEcho group, which specializes in energy targets.

The information was supported by the Minister of Energy of India, Nitin Raut, who did not give details about the origin of the "sabotage".

The Chinese government, through government spokesman Wang Wenbin, rejected the accusation, stating that there was insufficient evidence to support it and emphasizing that the Beijing government opposes "such irresponsible and malicious practices" as those charged against them.
